The course offers updated requirements, strategies, and tools for meeting and documenting compliance with updated Guiding Principle III metrics in areas related water efficiency, documentation for indoor, outdoor, and process water-use reduction, and water efficient products.
Learning ObjectivesThis course will cover:
- Updated metric requirements, recommended evidence of compliance, and related resources for meeting Guiding Principle III;
- Identifying and implementing sustainable operations and maintenance practices in the areas of water efficiency and conservation and environmental quality;
- Strategies that minimize indoor water use and waste using water-efficient products, water waters, optimized cooling tower operations and eliminated single pass cooling;
- Strategies for reducing outdoor water use through water efficient landscaping and options for implementing cost effective methods that utilize alternative sources of water; and
- Requirements and best practices for reducing stormwater runoff and discharges of polluted water offsite.
