The Federal/Utility Strategic Partnership UESC Training assists utilities in connecting with their federal customers for training and partnering opportunities while providing training and partnership opportunities for Federal customers. These meetings are typically one day and include a UESC overview as well as presentations from the host utility on programs offered to federal customers.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, attendees will:

• Explain the basis of the UESC authority as a tool for achieving energy and cost savings at Federal facilities;
• Identify the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part that addresses acquisition of utility services;
• Describe the resources FEMP makes available to help agencies implement successful UESC projects;
• Describe the purpose and content of the initial project scope developed by the agency;
• Attendees will understand methods and strategies to develop and implement successful UESC projects.
• Knowledge of best practices used for a successful UESC.
